The band fits, but your cups are too big
Keep the same band size but go down a cup size. For example: If the 32A feels too big in the cups but the band fits perfectly, try the 32AA.
The band fits, but the cups are too small
Keep the same band size but go up a cup size. For example: If the 32A feels too small in the cups but the band fits perfectly, try the 32B.
The band is too big, but the cups fit perfectly
Go down a band size, and up a cup letter. For example: If the 32A is too big in the band but the cups fit perfectly, try the 30B.
The band is too small, but the cups fit perfectly
Go up a band size, and down a cup letter. For example: if the 32A is too small in the band but the cups fit perfectly, try the 34AA.
Both the band and cups are too small
Go up a bra size. For example: If the 32A was too small in both the band and cups, try the 34A.
Both the band and cups are too big
Go down a bra size. For example: If the 32A was too big in both the band and cups, try the 30A.
What are bra sister sizes?
Sister sizes are groups of bra-size equivalents that are related by cup volume, regardless of the band size and cup letter. For example, a 36B and a 38A are technically the same size because the cup volume is the same. However, a 36A and a 38A are not equivalent sizes as the 36A cups will be smaller in volume.
How do I know when a bra fits ?
Sizing isn't an exact science and can vary across different brands, which means you might be one size in one brand, but be a different one in Bloom. We think it helps to know what a properly fitting bra looks & feels like while shopping for your best fit.
How can you tell if your bra fits properly? Let's check each part of the bra:
Band: The band should feel comfortably snug on the loosest set of hooks, this allows you use the inner hooks to tighten as the band stretches with wear over time. The band should also be parallel to the floor while around your back and not ride up or shift with movement.
Gore (if applicable): The center bridge of the bra between the cups should lie flat against your sternum. It should not hover or dig in.
Cups: The cups should lay flush against your breast tissue without digging in and creating any cup spillage or with empty space creating cup gapping.
Underwire (if applicable): The underwire should lay comfortably under the breast tissue and follow the root of your breast without digging into the sides of the breast tissue or into the underarm area. The underwire shouldn't lay on top of your breast tissue or sit below your rib cage either.
Bra Straps: The bra straps stay in place without slipping or digging in. You should adjust each the strap so they fit snug and comfortably on your shoulders.
How should I care for my Bloom items ?
As with any undergarment or swimsuit, we recommend taking extra loving steps to help them last.
Hand Wash
Washing with cold water and mild detergent by hand can help your Blooom item maintain its shape and quality the longest.
Air Dry
Skip the dryer and lay your item on a rack. The harsh heat from the dryers can deform and wrinkle your bra or swimsuit.
Switch it out
Wearing the same bra every day puts a lot of stress on that garment. Having several bras in rotation reduces daily wear and tear (and gives you more colors to choose from!).
Remove the Pads
We recommend taking out removable inner pads before washing.
Separate your colors & use a mild detergent
We recommend washing light-colored bras separately from darker colors to prevent color bleeding. Use a mild detergent that's gentle on lingerie.
Keep the skin au natural.
We recommend wearing on clean, fragrance-free skin. Avoid applying lotions or body oils right beforehand. This may cause irritation or redness when it rubs against the silicone strip.
